The Sailing Solo at The Knot Club concert series invites artists and band leaders to present an up-close evening of music in our intimate Bay Side venue.

Rancho Deluxe finds her at home in Nashville, embracing the contentment and rootedness of a slower, steadier life dedicated not to the music industry, but to music itself. Named after the studio she built with her partner and musical collaborator Jesse Noah Wilson, it's a communal album that highlights the enduring strength of Nicki's voice — cut from the same cloth as Linda Ronstadt's croon and Bonnie Raitt's bluesy belt — as well as the spirit of the musical community she's built in Tennessee. From the string-band stomp of "Cumberland Banks" to the Thin Lizzy-worthy guitarmonies of "Simple Side of Me," Rancho Deluxe pushes her music in new directions, showcasing just how powerful a little time at home can be.
Grahame Lesh is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter based in Marin County, California. He is the co-founder of the roots-rock band Midnight North as well as Grahame Lesh & Friends and the Terrapin Family Band.
Jennifer Hartswick is a trumpet player and vocalist originally hailing from northern Vermont. Known for being an original member of the Trey Anastasio Band, she has also played/toured with Herbie Hancock, Christian McBride, Carlos Santana, Dave Matthews and countless others.
“Did you grow up in a cult?” No, says singer and songwriter Lila Nelson who has toured internationally, playing with notable artists including Ben Folds and the late Richie Havens. But she describes an upbringing wherein a rigorous family art aesthetic forced her into her secret songwriting chamber to find her singular voice. No one sings like Lila Nelson. Her catalogue reveals a rich inner life, an irrepressible sense of humor, and a profound facility for poetry. Nelson draws her audience into intimate conversations, making each performance a rich, enchanting musical stew.
